- The Indians have been able to weather the storm so far. They have found a way to get it done. Not surprisingly, Francona is now 3rd on the all-time win list for Indians managers and unless something unbelievable happens will be the winningest manager in Indians' history by the end of this year. He is a treasure and I wish he was about 50 years old right now so that he would have many years of managing left.
- Glad to see Bradley Zimmer up here. Didn't get a chance to watch the game yet but will tonight. Maybe a false sense of security but I just feel better with him in center field. Should he have caught the blooper in the 8th that went for a double? I will tell you later when I watch the replay of the game. Zimmer was on base two times and I am hoping his hot streak at AAA carries over to the majors. I think he is an important piece to the success of this team.
- Owen Miller continues to struggle. But, like Bauers, he keeps his head above water with 2 hits today. Just waiting for him to get on a roll. He has time with Reyes out for a while.
- Yu Chang has done nothing to dissuade me from thinking he is a replacement-level player, or worse.
- The bullpen is looking strong and Civale and Beiber, along with the McKenzie/Quantrill piggyback, saved the bullpen this series.
- Looking forward to Eli Morgan starting on Friday. That's not to say that I expect too much as he is a young soft tosser and is still rounding into shape after missing time in ST. With Moss being out and Mejia pitching maybe on Monday, Morgan was the only answer. Hopefully he gets on a roll and gives us 6 strong tomorrow. I love these young guys coming up and showing out.
- Looking forward to watching some minor league baseball tonight. Hopefully will get to see some guys put up some numbers.
